THE COSMETICS ESTHETICS PATH : THE ESSENTIAL FOUNDATION FOR BECOMING A FACIALIST
To make the most of your Facialist training, obtaining the CAP Esthétique Cosmétique et Parfumerie qualification is highly recommended. In France, regulations are strict: only professionals holding this state-recognised diploma are authorised to offer facial treatments involving the use of active cosmetic products on the skin (such as exfoliants and masks), as well as aesthetic devices.
Taking your CAP at the Academy means choosing to move from being a facialism practitioner to becoming a qualified Facialist, a distinction that makes a real difference in your professional practice and credibility.
This qualification is officially recognised by France Compétences (RNCP39030) and is eligible for CPF funding.
How does the CAP programme take place at LB Facialistes?
The CAP Esthétique Cosmétique et Parfumerie training is delivered in a blended format over an 8-month period (from October to May), with a schedule designed to allow you to balance your learning journey with your personal or professional life. You study both theory and practical skills at your own pace from home, before joining the Academy in Paris to strengthen and consolidate your knowledge and skills.
01. Online theoretical and practical learning (from home)

Our e-learning platform is available 24/7, allowing you to progress step by step through interactive and supportive learning tools::
- Theoretical and practical courses accessible at any time
- Practical tutorials through step-by-step guided videos
- Structured theoretical lessons with self-correcting quizzes
- Monthly live group video sessions
- Support chat available on the platform
- Mock theory exams with personalised feedback
- In-person practical mock exams (optional)
02. In-Person Practical Training (at the Academy in Paris)

Two non-consecutive weeks of in-person training (70 hours) are mandatory to perfect all the practical skills required by the CAP curriculum. Qualified and certified instructors will support your learning journey and guide you all the way through to the exam.
- Week 1: in winter (December or January)
- Week 2: in spring (February or March)
You will be welcomed from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at 17 bis rue La Boétie, Paris 8th district. Our expert trainers will be by your side to guide your hand movements, correct your techniques, build your confidence, and answer all your questions.
The official exam takes place in May/June, and the results are published in July.
Why obtain the Cosmetics Esthetics Path before your Facialist training?
Obtaining the CAP Esthétique Cosmétique et Parfumerie qualification will enable you to offer your future clients a comprehensive approach. It gives you the legal authorisation to use all active cosmetic products on the skin, as well as aesthetic devices — skills reserved exclusively for holders of this diploma.
LB Facialistes offers you the opportunity to prepare for your professional career change by following both programmes simultaneously: the CAP Esthétique Cosmétique et Parfumerie + the Facialist Pathway. This allows you to become an expert Facialist through a single, consistent training pathway. After successfully completing your CAP and validating the 5 essential techniques Kobido Initial, Gua Sha, Détox Faciale, Stretching Facial, and the Enhancement & Personalisation module, you will be able to take the final assessment and practise as a Facialist.
